Update 2025-02-03 09:23 EET
Dear ARIS users,
System power restored at 2025-01-31 afternoon.
System is under investigation for consequences of the long power unavailability. Storage systems are NOT affected, so you’ll find your data as they were during accident.
Cooling system issues currently prevent system transition to full production.
Full production will be smoothly restored in next few days when cooling system is restored.
Projects active at 29/10/2024 will be extended accodingly.
Next call for production access will be shifted according the downtime period i.e. ~ 3 months.
Update 2024-11-06 14:01 EET
Dear ARIS users,
We have powered off ARIS after a serious incident that took place on 29/10/2024 in the building infrastructure where the system is installed. Our initial estimation is that computing and storage have not been affected.
Currently, we are working to restore the safety of the area and replace the affected equipment (electrical, cooling and others).
This will take at least 8 weeks. After that, the system will go live again.
Whenever new information about the progress is available, it will will be announced in the ARIS page: https://doc.aris.grnet.gr/
Furthermore, due to the incident the results of the 17th production call as well as any applications for preparatory projects, will be announced after system resume.
The projects that expired during the downtime period will be extended accordingly.
Thank you for your understanding
